What is new at Hyde Park this Christmas

This year the walk-through Magical Ice Kingdom is themed on Neverland. Visitors enter through the Jolly Roger into the Peter Pan story, where Wendy and Captain Hook appear among the sculptures. More than 500 tonnes of ice and snow have gone into the carvings.

Also making its first appearance is the K-Pop Dragon Circus from Gandeys, which mixes K-Pop music with circus skills in a 55-minute family show. Performances begin at 2pm. Later shows follow at 4pm and 6pm, and some days add slots at midday and 8pm. Seats start at £10.45.

A candlelit Christmas concert will take place in the Big Top on a handful of December evenings. Katie Hall and Dean John-Wilson are among the West End singers on the bill, along with Tosh Wanogho-Maud and Rachel John. Backed by a live band, they will perform festive songs such as White Christmas and Santa Baby. Tickets for the concert start at £30.
