Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross holds its next shōtengai market from Thursday 15 October to Sunday 18 October. Pan-Asian traders will set up their stalls on Lower Stable Street.
The market comes back on the third weekend of each month. It takes its name and format from the shōtengai shopping streets of Japan, and fills the cobbled yard with independent sellers and family-run stalls.
On Thursday 15 and Friday 16 October the stalls open from 12pm to 7pm. On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October the hours are 11am to 6pm.
Beans & Co co-curated the event, which brings together pan-Asian traders based in London. The stalls sell food, fashion, textiles and trinkets, so there is something to eat as well as gifts and things for the home.
The line-up is not fixed. Sellers change from month to month, so a return visit is likely to turn up different stalls.
