Rebuilt 1899 Mercedes van to go on show on Pall Mall before Brighton run
The Ideal Van, built under licence by a London firm, will join the 1 November Veteran Car Run from Hyde Park to the Sussex coast.
Seats are at the Nursery End, facing the drones over the Pavilion End. Early bird adult tickets cost £47.
Lord’s Cricket Ground is staging a night-time drone show on Saturday 21 November. WILD: The Drone Light Show is a one-evening event, and anyone with a ticket can go.
Organisers bill it as London’s first feature-length drone light show. It is also the first show of its type to be put on at the ground often called the Home of Cricket.
Ticket holders can get into the ground from 4.30pm, which leaves time to visit the food stalls that will be serving before the performance. The drones go up once it is dark, at 6pm, and the show runs for about 40 minutes.
Seats are at the Nursery End. From there, the audience looks across the Main Ground towards the Pavilion End, where the drones will perform. That end of the ground is out of bounds for the evening, so nobody will be admitted there.
Early bird prices apply to the tickets now on sale. Adults aged 18 and over pay £47, and children aged 3 to 17 pay £37. There is also a £41 concession ticket for NHS staff, students and people aged 65 and over.
WILD is the work of Yuup and Celestial, the partnership whose earlier touring drone productions include A Christmas Carol and Evolution. In 2023 the pair began selling tickets to touring drone light shows, which they say was a first for the UK. More than 200,000 people have seen their shows around the country since then.
It is on Saturday 21 November. Ticket holders can enter from 4.30pm and the show starts at 6pm.
The performance lasts about 40 minutes.
