Tickets are now on sale for the Christmas season at Dennis Severs’ House in Spitalfields. This year it runs from Friday 20 November 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027.
The winter season is one of the most popular times to visit the house, and its dates often sell out.
The house sits just round the corner from Spitalfields Market. It is laid out as the home of a Georgian family who appear to have stepped outside for a moment, and visitors are invited to wander through the rooms while the family is out.
It is not run as a museum full of precious objects. The house describes it as an experience, and guests are encouraged to step back and take in each room as a whole rather than study the individual things inside it.
For Christmas the rooms are given a festive makeover, with candles and decorations added throughout the house.
There are two kinds of visit. Daytime visits, when talking is allowed, cost £19.50. Evening visits take place in silence and cost £26.50.
Tickets can be booked in advance through the house’s website. Booking soon is recommended, as Christmas tickets often sell out.
The house is close to Spitalfields Market. Liverpool Street and Shoreditch stations are both a few minutes’ walk away.
