Yield already runs bars on Newington Green and at Highbury Corner. Its next site is a shop on Essex Road in Angel, with drinks to have in or take home.
Yield, the natural wine bar and shop, is opening a third branch in north London. It already trades on Newington Green and at Highbury Corner. The new site is at 10a Essex Road in Angel, and October 2026 is the planned opening month.
According to the owners, Yield Essex Road will feel like their St Paul’s Road bar. What it sells will be quite different from the flagship on Newington Green. They add that Newington Green was recently voted Coolest Neighbourhood 2026.
The Angel branch will be a bar and a shop in one. Customers can stay for a glass or order to take away. Bottles will be sold to open on the premises or to carry home.
The food will be familiar to regulars at the other two sites: cheese, charcuterie and snacks to eat with the wine. The owners promise plenty of each. The range at Essex Road will be smaller, though, and chosen with more care.
Yield will not be the only Newington Green name on this part of Essex Road. Jolene, the business next door to Yield on the green, also trades along this stretch, so the two will be neighbours again.
The address is 10a Essex Road, London N1 8LN. The owners say the doors should open within a few weeks, and they give October 2026 as the month.
An exact opening day has not been set. The Yield website and the bar’s Instagram account, @yieldwines, will carry updates.
