The Notting Hill cafe will sell the whole Jones' range, a changing breakfast menu and crumpets to take away with toppings made on site.
Jones’ Crumpets will open a permanent cafe at 44 Golborne Road in Notting Hill in October. The crumpet makers currently sell their products through delis and speciality shops across London.
The Golborne Road site will offer plates built around crumpets, plus food to take away. The full range will be on sale, from the plain Classic to the sweet Dark Chocolate crumpet, with the two cheese versions, Double Cheese and Cheese & Chive, alongside them.
The menu will rotate and will include both sweet and savoury dishes. According to the brand, the food will change with the seasons and will be built on premium ingredients. Each version of the menu will have one main breakfast dish, which the company calls its “hero” dish, along with two other savoury plates and a single sweet one.
Anyone who drops in for a crumpet to go can choose from a changing selection of toppings made in the cafe’s own kitchen. Drinks include Allpress coffee and a range of soft drinks. Customers can sit at a table or take their order with them.
The address is 44 Golborne Road, W10 5PR, and the nearest station is Westbourne Park. The cafe is a new step for a brand that Londoners have so far picked up from the shelves of other shops. More information is on the Jones’ Crumpets website.
